Multi-currency & Regional Pricing

Selling internationally requires managing different currencies and setting prices based on regional markets. This guide shows you how to use Price Lists to handle multi-currency pricing and localized discounts for your global customers.

Overview

A Price List is a collection of prices for a specific currency or region. Instead of just having one price per product, you can create multiple price lists—one for each market you serve. This allows you to set specific prices for the US market in USD and different prices for the European market in EUR.

You can manage your regional pricing from the Price Lists page.

1. Navigate to [navigate:/price-lists|Price Lists|dollar-sign] in the sidebar.
2. View existing lists or click **Add Price List** [badge:plus|info] to create a new one.
3. Once you have created a price list, you can manage the individual product prices within it.

Steps to Set Multi-currency Prices

Follow these steps to set prices for a specific currency or region.

1. Open the target **Price List** (e.g., `US Market`).
2. Switch to the **Items** tab to see all products in this list.
3. Select the products you want to update.
4. Click the **Mass Update** [badge:zap|info] button.
5. In the **Manual bulk update** tab, set the `price` field to the desired value in the list's currency (e.g., `USD`).
6. Click **Update [N] rows** to save the prices.
**Tip:** You can use calculations in **Mass Update** to convert prices automatically. For example, use `base_price * 1.1` to set a 10% premium for a specific regional market.

Example: Create a New Price List

Use the Mass Update widget to see how you can manage price list properties.

Managing Localized Discounts

You can also set regional discounts by creating a separate price list for a sale event.

**Warning:** Price lists are active environments. Any changes you make to a price list will be applied to the relevant store or channel immediately. Consider using **ChangeSets** to test your pricing strategy before going live.
  • Set Currency: Ensure each price list is set to the correct currency (e.g., USD, EUR, CZK).
  • Base Prices: You can link price lists to a “Base Price” list and apply rules (like a 5% markup) to automatically update them.
