Overview

The Brand Registry is a dedicated list where you manage all the manufacturers and brand names for your products. Instead of typing the brand name manually for each product, you link your products to an entry in this registry.

This ensures consistency in your data and allows you to easily filter and categorize products by brand across all your sales channels.

Steps

Adding a New Brand to the Registry

Before you can link a brand to a product, it must exist in the registry.

1. Open **Brands** from the main menu.
2. Click the **Add Brand** button.
3. Enter the brand **Name** (e.g., "Apple").
4. Add any additional information, such as the brand **Logo** or **Description**.
5. Click **Save**.

Linking a Product to a Brand

Once the brand is in the registry, you can link your products to it.

1. Open the **Product** details page.
2. Find the **Brand** field in the General Info section.
3. Click the field to open the brand selector.
4. Type to search for your brand and select it from the list.
5. Click **Save Changes**.

Linking Brands in Bulk

You can use the Mass Update tool to assign a brand to many products at once.

1. In the **Products** grid, select all the items belonging to a specific brand.
2. Click the **Mass Update** button.
3. Select the **Brand** field.
4. Choose the correct brand from the dropdown menu.
5. Click **Run Mass Update**.

**Tip:** You can also import brand assignments from a spreadsheet using the **Import** tool by mapping your brand column to the `brand_id` field.
