Best Practices
Use Case-Insensitive Operators
Both like and ilike operators are case-insensitive. You should use them interchangeably for better readability.
name like "macbook" or name ilike "macbook"
Leverage Lookup Values
Use lookup values for cleaner, more readable filters instead of deep relation joins. Recommended:
supplier = "code:ACME"
Also works, but more verbose:
supplier.code = "ACME"
Use Parentheses for Clarity
Always use parentheses when combining and and or to ensure your conditions are evaluated in the correct order.
(priceWithVat < 100 or priceWithVat > 1000) and supplier.name = "Acme"
Optimize with “Begins”
When searching for text at the start of a field, use begins instead of like with a wildcard. It is faster and more precise.
name begins "iPhone"
